As a school administrator in Alaska, Mark's hobby began with a small roaster in his garage with the guidance from a good friend (fellow guitarist and tone geek!) who commercially roasted coffee. Mark and his wife Cathy, would sit together, and as the two roasters in their small town roasted beans, the smell of fresh roasted coffee would linger. After a lot of research, and a bit of dreaming, Mark considered the idea of this equation: Coffee Roasting + Guitar Playing = The Ultimate Stress Release! Time to retire from education and move the family!

In October of 2006, Mark and Cathy moved back to their hometown of Little Falls, Minnesota, where he started a full-fledged commercial coffee roasting company. Now the same smell of fresh roasted coffee lingers over Little Falls, luring in local residents, area visitors and friends. And yes, you may stumble into our shop at 111 2nd St. NE in Little Falls to find Mark with his guitar, just jamming away. Be sure to check our his band "Brothers Tone" if you get the chance!
